Alzheimer’s is a fairly common disease in the United States affecting approximately 5.1 million Americans. There are many ways to help fight this disease including donating to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America. Another way to help is to volunteer with a chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association as Wellness Advocate, Mary Gauldin, has done. She started volunteering when her grandfather was diagnosed with the disease and has worked to “provide a better quality of life for those living with this devastating disease.” What a wonderful cause to be a part of!
